On 11th July 2018 we went on holiday to Andalucia and on the first day stayed at a cave house at Cuevas La Atalaya in Huescar owned by a fellow called Angel.
There we came across a small dog who was under a car when we arrived.
He was being fed by Anna the cleaner. He adopted us and so we decided to try and adopt him. We were booked to go on to other locations in hotels so couldn’t take him with us so during the holiday we agreed to break our journey on the way home, and have him checked for a chip to ensure he had no owner.
Anna took us to the vet in Huescar where the vet gave him injections and the following day, 17th July, he travelled back to his new home in the Costa Brava.
This is a photo of a breed called Ratonero Valenciano – so perhaps he has come back to his roots
Here he is in the first two years of his new life in El Garroferet and Jardines del Sol
